Drop-off/collection

My house/ workshop in town.The full address is 24 – 6th Avenue, Waterval Boven 1195. If you use your own courier service or Postnet this is the address to use. Please send me a message beforehand so that I know to expect your package. 

Postal/courier options

Cape Town. Residents can use the reliable drop-off/collection service offered by Vertigo Industries at 173 Longmarket Street. Contact them on 066 304 5854 or 082 927 5752.

Overnight Postal Speed Service. Take your shoes to your local post office, put them in an overnight postal bag that you get from the post office (if you use your own bag/envelope the price doubles!) and address to Danny Pinkas, PO Box 185, Waterval Boven, 1195. The current cost is R63 for up to 1.5 kg – roughly 2 to 3 pairs of medium sized shoes. For packages weighing between 1.5kg-5kg the charge is R145 and you will have to package the shoes before going to the post office. Please send me a photo of the tracking number and I’ll let you know as soon as your package has arrived or been posted back to you. 

Normal Registered Post. Package your shoes at home and send them via normal registered post (with a tracking number) to Danny Pinkas, PO Box 185, Waterval Boven, 1195. This is the cheaper than the Speed Service option, but your shoes will take a little longer (7-10 days) to arrive. Please send me a photo of the tracking number and I’ll let you know as soon as your package has arrived or been posted back to you. 

Paxi Courier Service. PEP Stores’ in-house courier service is an excellent, simple and the most economic choice for sending multiple pairs of shoes. For a simple guide and current rates, check their website: www.paxi.co.za. The store locator ID for Waterval Boven is P6782.

The Courier Guy. I have a contract with The Courier Guy which climbers are welcome to use. The cost, which is added to the final bill, is R135 one way (R270 return), door-to-door for up to 15 kg. Boven deliveries/collections happen on Mondays and repaired shoes generally take 2-5 working days to arrive at your doorstep, depending on your location. To book an online collection Please send me the following:

1. Full address (including postal code) from which the package may be collected during working hours.
2. Full names and phone number of a contact person who will be present for the collection/delivery.
3. Dimensions and weight of the package.
